hi phil, please find attached a photo i took in 1964, as a crew member of the mv thorium, an ici coaster that ran aground on knot spit, and was there for six days, before being refloated;

The first photo is a stern view of MV Thorium aground, taken by me; the second is another of her taken from the ferry beach at Fleetwood; this photo was taken by Cliff Cardwell, and with whom I worked at ICI some years later; the next one is a shot, by me, of the SS Sodium, berthed in the Wyre estuary, at the North End jetty, awaiting the incoming tide, to allow her to sail to one of the four berths at Burn Naze, and the last picture c1965, shows the MV Thorium anchored in the river Mersey.
